My family and I have had the pleasure of visiting A & A Restaurant in Wausau, WI, twice, and both experiences left us eagerly anticipating our next visit. Our first adventure to this delightful spot was a dine-in experience, just my husband and me. It was a cozy and intimate outing that gave us a wonderful introduction to what A & A has to offer. The highlight of that first visit, apart from the warm and inviting atmosphere, was the Baklava. My husband and I still reminisce about it. It was truly exceptional – the kind of dessert that stays in your memory long after the last bite. Our most recent visit to A & A was a bit different but equally enjoyable. This time, it was a takeout order for myself, my adult son, and my granddaughter. Even as a takeout meal, the food maintained its high quality and delightful flavors. It's not often you find a restaurant that can provide an equally wonderful experience both in-house and as a takeaway. Each dish we've tried, from the One and Only Burger my son loved, the Hangover burger my husband raved about to the pot roast I've ordered and loved twice, to the kids' chicken tenders that left my granddaughter wanting more, has been a testament to the culinary prowess of A & A Restaurant. They've managed to create a menu that appeals to all ages and tastes, making it a go-to for family meals, whether we choose to enjoy it in their welcoming establishment or in the comfort of our home.
My husband and I greatly enjoyed our lamb shawarma. We saw there were ingredients we can buy and purchased rise water, orange blossom water, curry powder and pickled turnips for a reasonable price. The service was friendly too.
Quiet when we went. So service was fast. Food was good. Burger was well-cooked and nice presentation. Over-easy eggs were perfect (cooked whites and runny yolks). Corned-beef hash was ok. Baklava was tasty. Overall, pleasant dining experience. Would dine here again.

I had a delicious barbecue chicken sandwich on a buttered toasted brioche bun. Not too many places take the little extra step of a buttered toasted brioche bun. That’s how I make my sandwiches at home and that’s my key to a restaurant that actually cares about the food they serve. It’s the little extra steps that add flavor! And they’ve got it! My husband had the perch fry last Friday and said it was the perch he’s always been looking for, for the past 30 years!
I had the walleye and it was fantastic! My companion had a steak and waffle fries and it was also really good! The waitress was friendly and very attentive. Overall a 5 star experience. I would definitely go here again.

Love the environmental. The food was delicious. Cute food presentation. Everything went smoothly even if it was busy at the time of dinning in.
With a friend. Waitress was friendly and food came out within 15 minutes. Mom-and-pop atmosphere with a lot of older people. Went for lunch. Waffle fries were so crispy and delicious. Got the Green Olive Burger (was expecting a literal olive spread - like a tapenade) but the olive was in a savory-salty white sauce (mayo-esque). Very juicy and delicious even on gluten-free bun. Able to put the leftovers in a to-go box. Seating was spaced out enough that felt cozy but not cramped. Homey atmosphere.
Food was excellent! Generous portions too. I had liver and onions and cross cross fries. I asked for the liver to be cooked medium and the fries extra crispy. They both came out perfect!
